You’ve seen Veatrice as video vixen in Lil Wayne Lollipop music video, in SHOW Magazine and Hip Hop Weekly. Let’s take a minute to sit down with Veatrice, ask some questions and checkout all of her big, black beauty.
What attracted you to modeling?
I always did local casting in my town, but a photographer/manager of a well known model in the industry contacted me on MySpace and asked me if I ever thought about getting into the urban modeling game. I decided to get some professional pictures with Patrick Adams of 2starz Studio and here I am.
What’s on your iPod.
I have a lot of music on my IPOD, but right now I cant get enough of the following CDs: Jay-Z Blueprint 3, Rick Ross Deeper than Rap and Maxwell BlackSummer Night.
You’re a sports fan, what teams do you like?
NBA: Besides the Blazers I enjoy watching the Hornets, Cavaliers, Denver, Lakers, Pistons, Heat, Celtics etc. NFL: Chicago Bears. MLB: St Louis Cardinals
When people think of urban models they think Miami, ATL, NYC, LA, so what do you love about Portland? If you could do a shoot in Oregon what would it be?
I love the fact my family and friends are here and at the same time I don’t have to worry about extreme weather conditions. It’s a great place to raise a family also.
I have shot in Oregon with a couple of photographers. I would like to do a shoot at Crater Lake..
If you could have a photo shoot anywhere in the world where would it be?
I’m headed to South Africa next year with a stop in Paris, France, so maybe during my safari adventure or in Johannesburg, South Africa.
I see that you completed your BS degree in
Business Management and Marketing; what was the toughest part along the way?
I love to travel and get away. So definitely staying focused and not getting distracted. I would only have a 2 week break a year for 4 years straight. It was tough at times.
Everyone knows Kayne West has been making a fool of himself lately, have you ever made a public spectacle of yourself? How did you recover?
I can say back in the day I may have gotten a little too tipsy at the club but never a public spectacle. I always keep it classy.
If you were on Oprah for one of those celebrity interviews, would you cry? What do you think it would be about?
Possibly, LOL. I cry during movies all the time. My interview would be about my childhood growing up with a single parent. The adversities I went through and how I did not let my childhood affect my future endeavors.
You’ve mentioned that you are working on a website, what can we expect from ThaVspot.com?
ThaVspot.com will be members only site, which will feature live interaction, videos, photo galleries, guest spots, etc. I do plan to have a store so my fans can purchase merchandise. Maybe even my panties.. I’m currently working with my designer to decide on the layout and content. I hope to have it launched later this year.
