10 Things BlaKKJaKK wants for Xmas

Xmas 2007Santa, I’ve been as good as I could. So my holiday pimp, these are 10 things I want for Xmas. Check it out and tell me what ya think.

  1. Blackmen Magazine stops printing on the cheap and trades up to better copy. Those pages look thick and slick until you look at them close. They got more fibers than recycled hemp and weird ink errors. If you ain’t going to use good thick paper stick to normal magazine stock.
  2. King Magazine stop trying to be the Black Maxim and get back in the game. Come on, how many must have spreads did King have this year? Hell, they got beat out by their brother mag on Angel in the same month.
  3. Show Magazine, ease up on the airbrushing. We like your slick look but we miss the detail like in Issue 2. Slick is cool, glossy is too much. The fashion mags airbrush without losing skin detail, come one we know you can do it.
  4. SI, put Carla Campbell on the cover. We’ve seen enough blonde, stick thin German bimbos. Beyonce don’t count, she’s a celeb. You haven’t had color on your mag since the 90’s and Tyra was hot, but Carla is hotter. Just do it.
  5. Urban magazines start doing outdoor shoots and spreads with natural lighting. 2007 the dark room with the spotlight, high contrast thing was done to death.
  6. More photographers. Charlie Langella is cool but he ain’t the only photographer out there. Let’s see some more Udo, Garth and some names we ain’t seen before.
  7. Olivia Watts comes back to urban modeling.
  8. Meagan Good does at least two or three good covers and features in 2008.
  9. Ads that actually generate bank rather than just fugging up my site.

So what did you ask for?
