Nastica aka Nas, caught my eye, I skanned her and then came the time to write this post. I looked at the magazine page and nothing. I searched The Net, nothing. I emailed people, nothing. I asked my pastor, he just shook his head. I got my palm read, played the Oujia and sacrificed a chicken, nothing. Finally, I stood on top of the highest hill in my town and yelled at the sky, “Where in the world is Nastica!?!” It started to rain.

“Disappearing Acts” could also be the name of an increasingly recurring syndrome with urban models these days. There are so many of them coming and going without a trace it’s ridiculous. For that matter, where’s Stephanie Kyoko? Just a year ago she was blazing a trail; now, I can’t even find a Myspace page for her. Same with Katherine Monsalve – up until a week ago, you couldn’t find anything on her either.
I’m telling you, someone needs to start a lost and found for these girls. The problem is, once a lot of them see how crappy this business is, they don’t ever wanna be found again.
Ha true story about Stephanie! Although I’m pretty sure that was 2008 & not last year because I was on vacation in the LA area @ the time! I remember she had a party to celebrate her cover that I was going to go to but didn’t get a chance to for whatever reason!

Umm yes. But as James mentions below certain “characters” have an annoying preponderance to dogging these beautiful women unnecessarily and insensitively, almost inexplicably. Its one thing to have an opinion but its quite another to be a complete moron. BlaKK doesn’t scan “ugly” women. And I don’t consider myself a critic. I see myself more as an admirer with…strong opinions…

there is nothing wrong with critics at all – in fact its them who are important in giving the models success and sorting the perfect from the average ect..
but i am with Benny in that some individuals here on BJS, indoplace ect think its cool to just unreasonably discredit certain models – especially the most common targets – dark skin, “ethic/exotic features” and non European traits ect.. just because they are hidden behind a computer screen.
its easy to say – shes average or i can pick her type up on the subway but in reality its all front and its become quite tiresome from certain characters on here

I mean she’s cute in these pics.. but who doesn’t shoot with Show, and Nick doesn’t make them look 10x better then in real life? I’m just saying a couple of these Show girls I’ve raved over then see them in the club and don’t even recognize them in person. That’s the only thing with Show I don’t like, is that the girls are photoshopped so good that in person they don’t measure up to the hype. But she might be different I’ll wait to see more regular pics of her before I can certify as being a BANGER or not.

I’d have to agree she is pretty. But if she doesn’t look like this in regular life that is a promoters worse nightmare. Taking these pics and posting it on a flyer and she show up not looking close to it is not a good look. Redz is correct that is false advertisement.
Everyone gets lit and photoshopped to show off their best angles and features.. that’s what magazines are supposed to do. And come on.. like how many people are REALLY going to see these girls at clubs??.. a small percentage, I’m sure. Everyone else is going to just see them in these magazines. 1st I’ll say thanks black for the scans. You always do produce the best quality in scans.
2nd I like her. Though I did read something say “The Black Alyessa Milano” (or how ever you spell her name) I’m not sure if Nas is mixed with black. Why would you even compare yourself to someone who has modeled and on TV? Wouldn’t you just want to represent yourself? Now everyone will know her as “The girl who looks like Alyessa Milano but thicker”. Bad move.
I hope to see more of her and representing herself not Alyessa Milano.
I like her photographs. I agree she do have a Maxim look. But Nick did a wonderful job shooting her.
