I’ve been following Kaaydah Mariefor a while now and have been on the lookout for this feature. Girl delivered for sure. Kaaydah is just 19 but she already has a number of music videos including the main video vixen in Twister’s “Wetter” as well as Fabolous featuring Jeremiah “It’s My Time”, Fabolous featuring The Dream “Throw It In A Bag” and video with Too Short coming soon.
Kaaydah took a minute to answer some of my questions.

What’s on your iPod?
I have the most random songs on my ipod. Everything from Kanye West to Vybez Kartel!
If you were a cookie, what kind would you be? I would be a chocolate chip cookie from Subway LOL. They are so good!
What do you like to do for fun?
I love to read! I am a researcher at heart, and I love to learn new things. I’m often searching the web and reading random articles in my spare time. If I’m not doing that, I love being with my friends and just enjoying ourselves. I’m a really silly girl and I’m known to keep my friends laughing LOL!
How do you keep sane working, going to school and doing the modeling thing?
School has always come easy to me, so I would say the modeling part is the most difficult, LOL. Traveling and shooting etc. can become a little stressful which is why I slowed down toward the end of 2009. It is a lot of hurry up and wait. Modeling has always been just a hobby for me, and I plan to keep it that way.
You’ve done a lot of music videos at only 19, got any good stories?
When I shot the Wetter video, I was told everything would be there: Hair, make-up, clothes etc., I later found out there was a miscommunication with the people who booked me from L.A. After traveling nearly an hour, I show up on set and there are no clothes and no hair, but there is make-up. I was like uhhhh….what!?! I was already a couple hours late, and I had sweats on. On top of that, we were going to begin shooting soon. Luckily, one of the models had a black tube top that I pulled down and it became my black dress in the video, LOL. The things that go on behind the scenes, huh!
Which did you find more challenging videos more print modeling?
Videos, because it requires you to act out a lot of emotions you may not be feeling at the time; it can be a little difficult.
Both your parents are from Jamaica, have you been?
Yes! I love Jamaica. My father still lives there and I moved in with him for a few months in 2009. I have plans to move back someday.
As a pre-med student, what type of doctor do you want to be?
Surgeon. I’d love to eventually open my own practice specializing in aesthetic procedures.
What’s you favorite medical TV show?
If I could morph House and Nip Tuck together, that would be amazing 
Where should we be looking for your next? Last words?
You’ll have to wait and see where I pop up in 2010. Anything is possible. I would like to say thank you for all the love and support I have been receiving. And thanks to Black for scanning my spread!

Ehh she’s cute…. drop dead gorgeous? No…. but I think she’s cute nevertheless and I really like her toned stomach and body. My only problem is she favors a lot of models already out like Sexy Sasha, Maliah Michele, and Kyra Chaos. But she may bring something else to the game time will tell. I wish her the best though.

lol Sasha is pretty but the three that were named (they are all gorgeous, Sasha and I actually both lived in CHI) don’t really look like me…at all…maybe if you looked at some snapshots or saw me in person you’d see lol…but to each its own, i agree this is a positive post none the less and I appreciate all the comments!

All medical schools do background checks and yours is all too easy to find. My advice, if you want to be a video ho, be a video ho, but don’t continue this bullshit image of “i’m gonna be a surgeon, i’m gonna go to medschool” bullshit cuz no medical school will ever admit someone who doesn’t respect themselves nontheless give the medical school a negative image. just keepin it 100.

Schools do check online when you apply that is true but just because you have modeled lingerie does not mean you will not be accepted into any medical school. same with jobs. a lot of them check out facebooks ext. google your name… all of that yes…you just gotta know how to work that system
I know TOO many doctors ext. and i’m good. If I thought I was in jepordising that i obliviously wouldn’t have modeled or have used Kaaydah as my “model name”

I too have had half naked pictures of me in magazines and on websites and that didn’t hurt my acceptance in dental school, it didn’t hurt me getting my job as a psychologist with my BS is psychology either. So I’m sorry hun, unless you work in an admissions office of a med school: THEN YOU DON’T KNOW SHIT!!
I’ve met models who are nurses, vets, ob/gyn and so many more healthcare professionals. They modeled before and after they finished with schools and started their health careers.

I been working with Kaaydah for about a yr now and she even shocked me with this shoot. Hands down she a knockout plus she really is down to earth and funny.
These photos of Kaadyah are your best scans of 2010 so far Blackjack! Thank you for bringing this beautiful, and bright, young woman to our attention. Forget all the haters, Kaadyah. They’re just hating ‘cuz you have beauty AND brains. I know being a surgeon may sound prestigious and all, but I know a few surgeons (in my family; they’re really self-absorbed, money obsessed people too). You seem like a warm person, so you may want to consider some other branch of medicine, or other career entirely, that let’s you interact with people instead of being trapped behind a surgical mask and gown. You’re young and you’ve got the whole world out there to explore, so don’t box yourself into one path too early. I, for one, would tune in to CBS evening news to watch you (instead of Katie Couric) any day! Best of luck to you Kaadyah.

its funny that you mentioned maybe looking into a degree which incorporates working with people. Psychology is an interest of mine and has been for a while. I just watched Kaaydah’s Youtube video on how she got into modeling. She’s well spoken and seems to have a good head on her shoulders. I think she’s a good example of the other side of the equation in this business, which is intelligence, how you present, and professionalism. Sure, it’s about looks, but to really go to the top you need more than that and it’s amazing how few aspiring models cut it when it comes to that other half of the equation.
