This part I of some skanz from issue #5 and #4 of ASIS Magazine. Its also a mini review as this is the first time I have had this magazine in my hands. To the point, this is a magazine worth getting. You can check out more at their the ASIS magazine website. This ain’t a magazine for the would be Jay-Z’s, it’s more street than Guchi. So let’s break it down:
The Good 
- Phat print quality. A class above everything except Show Magazine. That’s saying a lot.
Fresh faces. Most of their honeys haven’t seen major print and most of them are damn fine.
Different. They ain’t trying to be another Smooth or King or whatever and that’s a good thing.
Lots of photos, about 20-30 an issue.
The Bad 
- Funky layout with picture and picture effects. Its not baseball cards, just give us the image and dump the effects
Text touching models. Brotha that is just a crime.
The quality of the photography is all over the map. Some good, some not fit for print. Overall worth checking out but as the magazine matures hopefully they will start to get known photographers.
Its good a mag, worth checking out, subscribing to etc and it would be 100% better if they layout guy cuts out the baseball card effects and keeps the text off the dymes.

Nice review. I’ve never seen this magazine on the newsstands, otherwise I would have definitely picked it up. One magazine I recently bought for model Dollicia was Bangin’, a West Coast publication. This magazine has to have the worst scans EVER! I mean straight garbage. But the magazine is sealed because it comes with a music CD, so you can’t thumb through it on the stands. You have to buy it if you wanna know what’s inside.
By the way, ASIS has an issue with AbsolutelyAmber in it that is tight. She posted a very poorly scanned version on her website and people came flocking to it so I can only imagine what type of attention a good scan would get.
Ya she is in #4. That will be part of Part II. I’ve never seen on the stands either. I just got mine from Mix Unit.
