We should care anytime a celeb is openly commiting adultery. She sings about women empowerment but is sleeping with a married man. What type of role model and message is she sending out to young girls especially? Alicia maybe talented but taking a married man away from his wife and kids say a lot about her character. And as Redz said makes her a 2nd class citizen.
No, man. She’s an artist not a role model. If we expect our artists to be role models then art (music, film, etc) would be really boring because many of the great artists going back as for as written words go were deeply flawed people.
This role model stuff doesn’t make sense when thrown at Tiger and it don’t make sense for her either. She sings, he swings, what they do in bed and who they do really is not any of your business. Their wives, friends and family sure but for everyone else the real moral stain is on you. The reader, the gossiper, the person that buys the People, US in the grocery line. The judger, the voyeur in denial, etc.
Everyone loves to throw out the word “judge” in regards to calling people out for doing what’s wrong. At what point will we take a stand and stand for what’s right? I don’t care if their my next door neighbor or stranger, adultery is WRONG! And the fact that Alicia is publicly prancing around with a married man says more then enough for me. Pretty soon bestiality will be “normal” since no one wants to be held accountable for ANYTHING for fear of judging. If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.

The last time I checked Alicia didn’t take any wedding vows. That said, the only person committing adultery is the married person. So again your right/wrong dynamic doesn’t fly.
But more to the point, artists are not bond by morality. The only thing that should matter to a performer is expression and personal truth. Everything else should be left to the preacher, the philosopher, etc.
@ Benny, i gotta disagree with you there man (slightly). You’re right in that no sensible and intelligent girl will do a 180, but celebrity influence on teenagers is fact. It’s been proven time and time again by social scientists, I myself did research in this for a college unit, and my cousin is training to be a child psychiatrist (which is anything under 18) and she’s coming across staggering evidence everyday for her dissertation.
It’s a 2 way street though, if their upbringing is right, they won’t be taking life guidance from a girl dancing on a screen.

What is there that I could say that hasn’t been said already I mean really Alicia is like the perfect looking woman! I love the shoot a lot though it shows off her beauty a lot & is really sexy & elegant looking! I love how they go from the black & white to some of them in color to. She’s real talented to as a singer & one of the better 1s there’s out there. Cherry just reminded me I need to check out her album later or in the next few days to because I copped it the 1st week it came out but surprisingly never got around to listening to it yet.
It’s a great album! Her work is always amazing to me!

I personally think cheating and getting a person to cheat is wrong. I’ve been on both ends and I didn’t cheat and I didn’t make some one cheat. So I guess it boils down to morals. What I said about cheating are my morals and I refuse to go back on them and cheat/getting some one to cheat. To me it’s disrespectful to MYSELF. I can say that I now view Alicia Keys in a different light and what a person does personally whether they’re a celebrity or not makes me view them positively or negatively. With that said, she use to be like a 9 or a 10 but now she’s a like a 5 1/2.
What?? “getting a person to cheat”… each and every one of us makes a choice.. and apparently that guys choice was to cheat on his wife! I’m not saying it’s okay (I’m married, myself) but it’s not Alicia’s fault. I’m sure that guy would be out runnin around with another girl if it wasn’t Alicia.
